Hi Jonathan, Absolutely we plan an IDE. In fact EDI is planned to become that tool. It’s not there now as we needed a place to start. You can see the plan as it stands at http://phab.enlightenment.org/w/projects/edi/ <http://phab.enlightenment.org/w/projects/edi/> where you can also contribute thoughts.
It’s a lot of work ahead but we’re looking for people with various skills to help pull it all together. These include: * c coders to write the App logic, parsers and tool integration * designers & edc / edje scripters to be able to make a really slick UI * UX / product experts to make the workflows really smooth * Technical documentation folk to write accompanying website and documentation. I think there’s a real opportunity here to make a top notch, powerful and easy to use IDE for linux development built on top of EFL. If we can provide an experience as slick as Apple’s Xcode or Microsoft’s Visual Studio(’s best bits) then maybe we can help folk get into Linux dev. Thanks for the offer, I hope something on that list sounds interesting to you, Andrew ----- Andy Williams blog: http://ajwillia.ms web: http://andywilliams.me > On 24 Feb 2015, at 08:43, Jonathan Aquilina <jaquil...@eagleeyet.net> wrote: > > Hi Andrew, > > I am interested in getting on board with development of enlightenment as I am > impressed with everyones hard work and at the rapid pace of progress. > > My question is are you planning on creating an IDE of some sort to work hand > in hand with EDl?
