why don't you focus on code reviews for patches, bug tickets (as you say) that
need far more reading/thinking/inspecting than typing. that'd be good and needs
doing anyway and should work well with your RSI. (i'll be honest - it's hard to
empathize as i've never suffered from RSI despite having banged at a kbd for
over 30 yeas... :) i wonder if it's because i actually don't touch type... i
always just did what felt nice and that's mostly using only thumbs, index
fingers and the occasional next finger along from index - just offering a
suggestion to see if it helps?)

in the meantime recover. do things that require far more reading that typing.
keep the typing down. maybe take the time to learn to draw - artwork maybe.
it's far less finger-heavy-stress than typing... and it is fun to create :)
