Other objects have fonts being set. Is there no way to fetch the font name, size etc from those. Label, entry, etc. Using the theme, and via edje/edc files. I think it starts by default in Mono, so it reverting back to mono is fine. If that changes, it will internally and should not effect my usage. However, if a user wants to change fonts, I think it should start with the current one selected, or shown. Its how any font dialog I have seen works.
