I removed all terminology from my system, just to make sure it
wouldn't find and use another source of data. I would then get the
following error :

ERR<24389>:terminology ../src/bin/utils.c:48 theme_apply() Could not
load any theme for group=terminology/base: File Does Not Exist

Both with prefix set to /usr and nothing, result in the same problem.
