I suspect it's all messed up. application shortcuts are entirely up to the application - not e. eclipse is a big java mess - i don't trust java's x support as far as i can throw it - it's one horrid mess if you ever loo at it. as for e consuming events - e isn't involved in the events at all - they go direct from input device to x, then x to the app (eclipse). the only "keys" e will consume are keys it has already grabbed for itself for e's own keybindings.
