Hi all, I've been having a problem with removable devices for a while, and I can't really figure out what exactly is going wrong. I'm running E17 (a couple of days old) on Ubuntu 10.10. When I first start E17 from GDM and I plug in a removable device it does not show up on the desktop or in the places module. However if I lock out, lock into Gnome and lock out and back into E17 it suddenly works. I initially thought hal might not be running in the first case or something like that, however I checked and in both cases the running processes are exactly the same. Any configuration I'm missing?
