after having seen a small collection of "tablet pc's" all running the new atom
450N i thought i'd get myself one too just to do some work in this department
that i can play with on my couch at home. i ordered a viewsonic viewpad 10 - so
same internals as your eee there, (same cpu, gpu, screen res+size,
multi-touch too, but 16gb ssd as opposed to 160gb hdd, and 2gb ram, not 1, and
no kbd, and has accelerometers and electronic compass in addition, but is
much lighter (875gm vs 1300gm)).

i'll stick e on it soon enough once it arrives
and get multitouch working and actually make an effort in what spare time i
don't actually have to have good working out of the box tablet/finger ui for
people to try.

i was spurred into doing this after seeing some meego tablets at cebit as well
as the wetab (german ipad competitor with meego + custom ui (xfce+all sorts of
stuff). as such i KNOW e+EFL can provide a better experience - it needs apps
written using EFL to make it a real working system, but it can do a better
experience for sure. i just need to show it and prove that it can with some
videos and maybe sample modules, apps config etc. some of the people doing
tablets now that use linux may definitely be interested once you can SHOW them
it actually works and works well. :)

but this isn't going to be something i focus on for e17 release for now. maybe
something to improve for e18 and so on. :) elfe is pretty cool btw but it
doesnt quite work so great on a 7,8,9,10 or 11" tablet :)
