woo, i finally got the elsa login manager working! good job Michael! here's some things i stumbled upon and am writing it in case it helps others:
* prefix: for some reason, setting configuring the prefix to /opt/my-e17 (where i have the rest of e17 installed) didn't work. elsa couldn't launch elsa_client (-> /bin/bash: elsa_client not found). prefix in /usr was no problem. * lib path: before launching elsa, it was needed to set LD_LIBRARY_PATH to where the e17 libs are. * pam: on debian, in /etc/pam.d/elsa i had to replace all occurrences of system-auth with common-auth * autologin: doesn't seem to work. might look into it sometime. * login scripts: how can i launch a startup script after login? when "xsessions" is set to 0 it's clear that it runs the "session_login" value, but what does it run when it's 1? * anyone writen themes yet? :) greetings, David ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Create and publish websites with WebMatrix Use the most popular FREE web apps or write code yourself; WebMatrix provides all the features you need to develop and publish your website. http://p.sf.net/sfu/ms-webmatrix-sf _______________________________________________ enlightenment-users mailing list enlightenment-users@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/enlightenment-users
