First, I don't know how to code, so I can't send patches :( (sorry for that)
Second, I like more QT (as in kde) apps, so I set GTK to mimic QT by using oxygen-gtk theme or qtCurve theme. I think Hannes work is awesome, I'm just saying that lot of people uses GTK as well as QT apps, so why only support one type of toolkit? I know, I know, there are tons of different toolkits, but being GTK and QT the two most used, I think is not fair to just include one of them 'just because I like it most'. I can understand if this is technically non-viable, I'm fine with that. But saying 'I don't know how it works and I don't care'.....sounds kind of mediocre (sorry if it's sounds rude, that's not the point really) Am I wrong to think this way? And again, I'm not a coder, so I'm really sorry that I can't submit patches to do so El 25 de septiembre de 2011 08:52, Thomas Gstädtner <tho...@gstaedtner.net>escribió: > On Sun, Sep 25, 2011 at 10:06, Carsten Haitzler <ras...@rasterman.com> > wrote: > > On Sun, 25 Sep 2011 02:45:47 -0500 Jeff Hoogland <jeffhoogl...@linux.com> > said: > > > > if E set this by DEFAULT (there is some qt gtk theme engine that can use > gtk > > themes and theme engines mostly in qt), that'd be best, but i have no > idea how > > qt/kde does this... so patches accepted. > > > >> Set your QT apps to use your current GTK then _ then this is already > done :) > >> > >> On Saturday, September 24, 2011, Carsten Haitzler <ras...@rasterman.com > > > >> wrote: > >> > On Sun, 25 Sep 2011 00:26:08 +0200 "hannes.janet...@gmail.coms" > >> > <hannes.janet...@googlemail.com> said: > >> > > >> >> On Sat, Sep 24, 2011 at 8:55 PM, Wido <wido...@gmail.com> wrote: > >> >> > Sorry to be a jerk....but if it's going to be 'native' support for > GTK > >> >> > themes, shouldn't also be the same level of support for QT? > >> >> > > >> >> do you know how to tell qt to use a specific theme or to list themes > >> >> available to qt?
