Regarding the EngineID, i can't find any command to manage this parameter and
nothing relevant to this in the KB.
Is it possible for you to reset the configuration through factory default
option of the boot menu ? Then upload the original configuration without snmp
EngineID parameter if it is shown in snmp section ?
If it's doesn't work contact GTAC.
Regarding MSTP config name, as described in the knowledgebase, TB "10679 :
Unstable SecureStack through f/w x.01.05.0004 with set spantree mstcfgid
cfgname Automatically Added to the Config" :
- If you are in MSTP mode :
set spantree mstcfgid cfgname default (Or any other words identical for
all your switch in a STP domain as already suggested by Jason)
- If you are in RSTP mode :
'clear spantree mstcfgid'

The MAC address in this command spantree mstcfgid cfgname '00-11-88-97-89-58'is
the next unit in the stack that will become manager I always change this
command to spantree mstcfgid cfgname 'guest'
Please try this and then check the engine ID

No the MAC addresses are different, but engineIDs are the same.

What did look somewhat relevant though was that I found a rogue line of config
on the "WhitSt C2 1st Floor" switch:
spantree mstcfgid cfgname '00-11-88-97-89-58'
Not sure who put that in there or why but that name seems to relate to the mac
address of the other switch and I was hoping the engineID might be based on
that.
I removed that line and rebooted that switch, but it's made no difference.
Any last ideas before I open a support call? It's not urgent.

AFAIK the engine ID is partly formed from the MAC address of the switch. Do the
switches have the same MAC address?
