Hi,

It's 24x 15,4W, which is the 370W overall. If you have devices with less power
requirement, you might be able to serve about 32-36 ports, but never 48. It's
recommended to calculate only 24 PoE ports per unit. B5/C5 support high power
standard and because of this also more devices per unit.

Cheers,
Markus

Is that 24 ports at 15.4w or is it 24 ports no matter the power requirement of
the device?

Subject: Re: [enterasys] PoE behaviour on SecureStack

Hi,

B2/B3/C2/C3 switches are only able to serve a little bit more than 24 ports
with PoE, doesn't matter if 24 or 48 port switch. For PoE calculations, only
use the number 24 on any kind of the above switches.

Cheers,
Markus

Hello all and happy new year!

I have a question that I’m not able to resolve with documentation on Enterasys
website

I use a B3 48 POE ports
In datasheet, the switch can deliver only 370W
It’s not enough if I connect 48 PD (PoE Device) (48*15,4 = 739W)

What is the behavior if I add a C2RPS-POE?

Can I use the power of the RPS in addition of the power of the switch if I need
more than 370W for my PD?

Thank you for your help
