Is this applicable for other OEM Phones like Avaya, Alcatel and Siemens? ________________________________ From: Hopkins, Bruce [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Wednesday, July 20, 2011 8:43 PM To: Enterasys Customer Mailing List Subject: RE:[enterasys] COS for Cisco Phones
Thanks Hugo, I’ve been getting different stories depending on what I read. So you are saying all I should need is to set vlan egress <voicevlan> <port> tagged on all the ports? Since the admin vlan is already set untagged to the desktop vlan, correct? You don’t have to configure nothing because the phone itself already configures the QoS that is needed and the Enterasys Equipment’s respect that. You only have to set the vlan tagged to the phone that’s it. If you are also connecting a computer in the phone then the vlan for the computer must be untagged. If you want to automatize the vlans to the phone you can also configure ciscoDP in your switches. You should never configure nothing in cos 7 because that is used for broadcast, spantree and other protocols needed by your network. I know how to push cos with policy manager but not really sure how to set it up through the console. Can someone give me a clue. Keep getting erros with the set cos commands so I must be missing something. The phoens will all be in their own vlan so I’ll have to egress the phone vlan on all the ports, but I’m not sure what will need to be done to set the COS to 7. I don’t really want to set upa policy as I’ve still got some other issues in this network I need to fix and policy manager could really screw it up right now. Any pointers would be appreciated. * --To unsubscribe from enterasys, send email to [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> with the body: unsubscribe enterasys [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> ________________________________ UBI amiga do ambiente: Antes de imprimir este e-mail pense bem se tem mesmo que o fazer.
