We have several G3 in our network and we had this problem in a lot of them (almost all). Seems to be dimensioning problem of the power supply / redundant system !!!

I actually replaced one of the power supplies 2 times and the 3rd one did the same thing. I haven't gotten around to the RMA yet since I think the only logical step would be to replace the whole G3 switch to see if maybe the chassis or motherboard is causing the issue. After a period of 10 to 18 month after power up, these PoE-PS go into failure on secondary side (DC). On different worldwide sites we using G3 with dual PoE-PS connected to UPS and normal power circuit and populated with not more than two 24-port modules with PoE. The real PoE consumption is not really high in relation to the max power of two PWRs. In other installations with G3 and G3-PWR without PoE we have much less problems. These problems occur on different sites and on different power sources (UPS or normal power).
