Thanks:

Turns out I can't get rid of them even with the disconnect command. I've
been using Putty on a Windows 7 machine to connect and it crashes a lot.
Have others found Putty unstable on Win7? When it crashes it leaves a hung
session on the S4. I get 4 of those before I am locked out. The only way
to recover is to reboot. Enterasys has a fix in their latest release.
 I've switched to Tera Term.
