Agreed. We frequently see this as well, in a mixed 26xx and 36xx shop and
haven’t gotten too much information back on what is the actual root cause of
the issue. We're running the latest software ourselves though.

I will be keeping an eye on this thread, because we have the same issues in a
mixed shop of 2620 and 3620 AP. We are now running older V7.41 software, and
GTAC’s advice to us was; install the latest software – which is now in planning
– but we never found out what the problem actually is or if the
Latest-and-Greatest will actually fix it.

Subject: [enterasys] 12 sec in cycle 1: AccessPoint Problem Report captured:
ap-report.txt

Hello,

I noticed strange ping timeouts with some AP36xx series (software:
08.11.06.0006). Several access points on different switches within different
subnets in different buildings. Looking at the switches they are loosing the
link for some seconds, several times a day. I checked cabling, replaced poe
switches, but still those strange timeouts. It seems they boot. But why? Too
many users? Incompatible poe switches? I simply don´t know.

So I looked at the controller logs and within AP logs it says: "12 sec in cycle
1: AccessPoint Problem Report captured: ap-report.txt " Well?
Now I´m actually looking at that file "ap-report.txt" But where is it?
Where can I look at it? Where can I download it? Perhaps I simply miss the
forest for the trees...

Michael
