Question #235409 on samba4 in Ubuntu changed:

dracenchain posted a new comment:
You can use sudo apt-get autoremove to remove unnecessary dependencies
installed with Samba4. If you want to ensure a full cleanup, try sudo
apt-get purge samba4 && sudo apt-get autoremove. Running dpkg -l | grep
samba can also help identify any remaining related packages
