I've got a few scripts that I've kludged together (I'd be embarrassed for
people to look at them, but hey, they work) that I rely on all the time.
Should I post them?
Here's what they do:
(1) Most of my incoming messages get filtered to appropriate folders, some
nested down a bit. I like it when I get messages from certain people to have
that message filtered, but then opened for me, waiting to be read. This
script simply opens an incoming message (use it in a Rule).
(2) Sometimes I like to not only open an incoming message but immediately
delete it from the server (I know that 99% of the time a message from a
certain person is just gossip, not worth keeping). This script adds deleting
from server to #1.
(3) I'm still not using IMAP, and so I use the delete from server feature
often. I hate choosing it from that little popup menu in the message list; I
prefer a keyboard command. This script deletes the current message from the
server (I use Cmd-Opt-D as the keyboard command).
As I say, I use these things all the time. They make Entourage very
efficient for me.
