In line with the above, I am experiencing similar PW problems but have not
been able to effect a fix. Due to the well known financial difficulties of
@home, our local cable company has been forced to disassociate themselves
from the latter and have taken on 100% ISP responsibility, creating the need
for me to establish a new @rogers account. Since doing so, I continuously
receive two error messages when attempting to 'receive' all mail, not just
that associated with news groups: (1)'Mail could not be received at this
time. The server for account xyz returned the error "account is locked by
another session or for maintenance, try again.." Your username/password or
security settings may be incorrect. Would you like to try re-entering your
password? Yes/No and, (2) Mail could not be received at this time. The
server for account xyz returned the error "invalid user name and password.."
Your username/password or security settings may be incorrect. Would you like
to try re-entering your password? Yes/No

Under 'Accounts' I have re-set/re-entered the correct username and password
(save password box checked) several times. I then started to tick 'No' for
both re-set questions as I was 100% sure that the settings were correct. It
is interesting to note that even though I receive these errors, each and
every time I ask to receive my mail, the mail does, indeed, arrive in the
normal fashion. The bottom line...how do I get these blankety-blank error
notifications to cease and desist? Incidentally I occasionally get a 'cannot
send mail" error, not frequently though. As usual, any help from the 'gurus'
would be most appreciated :-)
