To diagnose your problem, a little more information would be helpful: Did they receive the attachment at all (your problem description implies you made a file and sent it as an attachment)? Were they unable to save the file? Were they unable to open the file? What version of Acrobat do they have installed? Did they get a message that Acrobat could not open the file?
