I understand.  I guess I would accept the ads if I were using a free email
program (eg. Outlook express), but with software that costs real money
(entourage) and is advertised with the feature of using your hotmail on it,
I want the option of removing this pane.

I guess I could use Eudora as analogy - the free version has annoying ads,
but if you pay for the non-free version - no ads.

The other issue is that this MSN pane is not even really an advertisement -
it is just a set of links to use MSN features. I don't want to send
greetings using MSN - therefore I do not want this link displayed in my
window panes.

At the very least, it could have an aqua look to it!  :-)
