Sorry for bugging again, but am I the only one experiencing trouble with E after waking up from sleep (Pismo 500 MHz, 640MB, MacOS 10.1.2 (5P48, Entourage built 1309). Pretty much 50% of the time I have to force quit E and restart. It could be that in some cases a mail download took place unnoticed in the background when I shut the lid, but there where plenty of occasions where I specifically paid attention to this not to be the case. So my best bet is the live sync setting to the IMAP host and roaming into a new airport network whilst the Pismo is asleep. But again it doesn't happen all the time???
Also, I frequently send jpeg pictures to a windows box in Germany (98 and 2K both using outlook express) and I have used Apple Double encoding which would always deliver the picture and a for windows users useless resource file (so the recipients where 'complaining' about that). So yesterday I tried to switch to Windows/Mime encoding but again I got 2 file and the jpeg file extension appeared as bin at the recipient. I guess I need to learn more about that. (Maybe it is because I drag the pictures directly from the iView Media Pro thumbnail view into Entourage?) In cases the encoding problem can be resolved easily, is there a way to individually set the encoding for each new message other than opening and changing the Preferences each time. Your help is greatly appreciated.
