You haven't noticed that Entourage has its own AutoCorrect which works the
same way. Go to Tools menu/AutoCorrect, and uncheck "Capitalize first letter
of sentences". Pretty simple.

Luis' problem is, I think, more complicated. As I understand it, he _wants_
to keep the "Capitalize first letter" preference, but to make an exception
for "iBook". I don't think that's possible: as I understand it, the
exceptions are for excluding words following abbreviations: normally the
period would signal and "end of sentence", so the word following would be
capitalized, but the exception for the abbreviations tells Entourage not to
see the NEXT word as the beginning of a sentence. There's nothing you can do
to except the word itself: by and large, it's poor English to begin real
sentences with lower-case letters. Since I write a lot of AppleScripts, and
exchange code by email, and since AppleScript lines need to begin with
lower-case characters, I have to turn off that pref myself. If you write
lots of sentences beginning "iBooks", you'll either have to turn off the
pref too, or actually begin the sentence with a symbol:

'iBooks are especially prevalent hereabouts. Or

iBooks are in great demand.

The second one I did with option-shift-9, but I wouldn't recommend it as it
will get mangled by Windows computers.
