After going round and round in circles and restarting the computer about
five times I finaly managed to open the disk utility and find first aid. I
ran it using Verify, the only option active, the other being repair was
greyed out. It verified that the number of free blocks available was
incorrect and ?the HD needs to be repaired. However it gives me no active
option to carry out that repair.
Also, having closed the installer window I still can not eject the installer
disk because it is ?in use?.
Any suggestions appreciated.
