That's hilarious.  Not a couple minutes after I posted mine, I see you post
yours.  I've noticed this ever since SR1 came out but finally got around to
writing in about it.

What's even more funny, ever since I sent my message about it, EvX stopped
messing up and doing what it should (under certain circumstances).
Currently, the last 4 messages did not have it happen but this one did.  I'm
not quite sure exactly what it is that triggers it but I'm curious if cursor
location has anything to do with it.  If I have the cursor right before
where the signature starts, then it works fine.  And once it works in a
message, it continues to work no matter where the cursor is...even if you
add text.  But in another message, when I type stuff and then moved the
cursor elsewhere and then changed, it worked fine.  I'm not quite sure what
the pattern is but I CAN sometimes get it to work.  Hmmm....

This is such an odd bug.
