Hello,

DITTO to what Mat Rice answered. But, I have to point out something that I
found out only AFTER receiving my NX70V. According to the docs, the cable
MUST be hooked up directly to a usb port on the back of the computer and NOT
through a hub. What???

I have a G4-450 (OS X21) and an NX70V and before I "stumbled across" The
Missing Sync (v3.0.3), I was wondering if I'd be tearing all my hair out at
the roots before the syncing/backing-up problem would be solved. Using
Virtual PC 5.0.4, as I had been doing, was not cutting the mustard... AT
ALL! Even WITH plugging the cable into the back of my G4.

The Missing Sync installs a usb extension and a couple of plug-ins for
iTunes and iPhoto, which I have not tried out yet. The CLI Viewer sees
JPEG's just fine, but, I installed 2 mpg's from the Sony CD to my Memory
Stick, trouble is, I just can't play them, even though the NX is supposed to
handle .mpg files, and something else called Movie Player files. If you
"shoot a video" with the NX, TWO FILES are saved to the Stick, in different
directories. Arcane names are used, but, the extensions differ. One is .mqv
and the other is .mai. I have yet to find a solution for this problem.

With The Missing Sync installed, my first "backup" went flawlessly! My
subsequent "sync" was almost as flawless. I don't know what happened, but,
after starting the 2nd "sync," the NX would not connect to my G4. I had been
having some G4 slowdown problems, so, I decided to just restart the G4.
After that, syncing appeared to be no longer a problem. HOWEVER, once again
I find that I can't sync another time after the 2nd time after the restart.
I highly recommend getting The Missing Sync from Markspace, but, I will be
letting them know about the ONCE ONLY sync.
