Just a heads-up for those of you out there with Hotmail accounts... You *HAVE* to check your account at least once every 30 days lest MS de-activate your account and force you to pay $19.95 to re-activate it. I had assumed that logging into MSN Messenger would be enough to keep this from happening, but that is not the case. Apparently, logging into MSN Messenger only logs you into MS Passport services and not into Hotmail (though that is confusing since my Passport login is my Hotmail login).
Worst of all, I can still login to MSN Messenger now and I continue to get notices about the mail in my account, even though I cannot actually view it or delete it.
