Yes, this is normal. The Office X 10.1.2 Update is a combined update; it contains the previously-released SR-1 and 10.1.1 update. All four applications were updated with SR-1, and Word/Entourage were updated further with the 10.1.1 update.
The 10.1.2 update itself does not update any applications, but instead just the Microsoft Component Plugin as verification of the update. One can make sure that this update has been applied by checking the version number of the following file: Macintosh HD/Applications/Microsoft Office X/Office/Microsoft Component Plugin Select this file, then go to File -> Get Info.
