I suggest you go to Entourage -> Work Offline to turn it off. Schedules will then run normally. If you have that turned on to keep spam from downloading images and movies, go to Entourage -> Mail and News Preferences, click the "Read" tab, then uncheck the box to "Allow network access when displaying complex HTML".
