I occasionally receive messages that I want to edit before filing (usually to change the subject to something meaningful). E'rage does this fine for POP messages but seems to choke on doing this for IMAP messages. It changes the local copy of the message but not the server copy. If the cache is ever cleared, the message moved, or who knows what then the changes are lost.
Is there a work-around for IMAP messages? Edit then redirect to self redirects the unedited message. And forward loses the original sender information. Any ideas?
