I have been downloading your script for some time and all updates, however, never decided to try it until this discussion started. I’m not that familiar with scripts, but have used others you have written with success. I was skeptical because I’ve had a lot of syncing problems with the Visor (solution: Entourage overwrites handheld ALWAYS), but this script worked exactly as you stated. I tried demo mode first and it worked perfectly; then I paid the $15 and ran the full version. I think as long as it is set for Entourage overwrites Address Book it is fine for me. Syncing never seems to work great with anything, as all the fields don’t match, same as Visor; that’s when I notice trouble. I got all 321 addresses into Address Book with no problem.
2 Questions:
- If I now change to Sync mode (rather than overwrite) will it only sync/overwrite data that has changed or been added as new contact, is that correct? Note: Entourage is my main Contact file and is the only one being changed/updated; Address Book would not have any changes to sync to Entourage.
- What about the photos? I have photos in Entourage and had photos in Address Book; any plan/way to get them to Sync?
