Title: Simplifying and Clarifying: Next Step
Hello,
Thanks again to all of you for your help in this process.
BACKGROUND:
I am running Entourage 10.1.0 on OS 10.2 and my intention is to create a lean database.
My assistant, Christine, has been working for several months now to update all the addresses in the database with the appropriate categories so that we can use rules to file incoming messages.
And so that we can run eMA to archive all the old messages with categories.
For the past month, I have been on the road with my PowerBook so I bought Christine an iBook and transferred a copy of Entourage to that machine. So that version is now the most up-to-date in terms of most addresses and all categories.
So now our task is to update Christine's version with a few addresses that I've added to my version and with the key emails (sans spam) that have come in over this past month.
Christine can simply copy in the new people for the Address Book. But the emails are a different problem. All I can imagine is to forward all of them to her email address and then sort them out into the appropriate folders.
QUESTION:
Is there some way to transfer email messages from my version of Entourage to her version of Entourage? Since we now have the machines side by side, using an external hard drive would be an option if we knew what to do.
And, with any luck, these transferring messages would then get a category assigned to them as they arrived. Is that right?
Thanks again!
Walt
