You might want to try out Proteron's LiteSwitch X 2.1. It allows you to modify window layering behaviors, both within each app, and between different apps after context switches. Note however, that although version 2.1 is advertised as compatible with Panther, I have not yet tested it myself.
Footnote: The window layering hack is a "bonus" feature of LiteSwitch. It's main claim to fame is its implementation of a floating app switcher that appears when you hit command-tab (or another user-set key combo). This is a UI feature that was apparently copped from Windows. And it looks like Apple copped it from Proteron. Panther has a built-in app switcher that looks almost exactly the same, and uses the exact same key-combos: command-tab, command-~, and command-Q. On 10/27/03 3:10 PM, "Michael J.
