My firm uses a Mac OS X 10.2 server to hold all user accounts. When users login on their Macs, their home directories are all on the OS X server. We also use an Exchange 2000 server with SP2 so we meet the requirements for Entourage to work as an Exchange client.
When users login locally to their machine and set up an Exchange account in Entourage everything works fine. When we have them login accessing the remote OS X server where their user data is stored with a new account, Entourage loads fine, sends and receives emails fine, and all contacts sync, yet the Calendar refuses to sync with Exchange – nothing shows up in the calendar even after a long wait. So basically when the Entourage database is stored on the remote OS X server in the users’ Home directories, ONLY the Calendar refuses to work. When the Entourage database is stored on the local machine, everything works fine. Anyone have any ideas what could be causing this?
Thanks for any assistance.
