Paul, you said it. 

The trouble is, I'm on an iMac rev B (old Bondi-babe) with 4G harddrive, 233 mhz cpu 
and 192 mb ram, so I must admit I can't find the space or computing power in that 
machine to do the upgrade.

Once finances become better in my little household we would love to buy one of those 
lamp-like iMacs with more power, more space, DVD-drive and not least OS X. Until then 
I have to find solutions for the problems that arise in OS9.2.2

When I come home from work today, I will try the advanced rebuild and see if that does 
the trick.
