Yes there is. The check box is the on the Advanced tab under Security.
Do you mean the checkbox "DAV service requires secure connection (SSL)" ? That's pretty different from what I was looking for under X,
always use secure password or SMTP server requires authentication.
still didn't do it, though.
You're right about the imap. those panels look much more familiar (makes sense) and the imap client does work.
