Further (lack of) progress: I can send and receive mail with Outlook Express. I can send and receive mail with Apple Mail.
I can receive, but not send, mail with Entourage 2004. Entourage 2004 setup: I used the setup assistant to import from Outlook Express. Result: I can receive, but can't send, mail with Entourage 2004. I created an account in Entourage 2004 using the same settings that work in Outlook Express. Result: I can receive, but can't send, mail with Entourage 2004. I trashed the Office 2004 Identities and used the setup assistant to import from Mail. Result: I can receive, but can't send, mail with Entourage 2004. ---- I tried changing the advanced POP and SMTP settings somewhat from those used by OE and Mail, but so far no luck. Probably relevant: with DSL, I have to access my POP and SMTP accounts using SSL and a specific port setting for SMTP. ----- Additional testing: I used the setup assistant to import from an Outlook Express account that had one of the kids' accounts (non-SSL, another ISP). Result: Entourage can both receive and send email with a non-SSL account. Conclusion: OE and Mail can send mail with my account (an SSL account) but Entourage 2004 can't send so far. Any idea of what to do to fix this problem? -- To unsubscribe: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> archives: <http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.letterrip.com/> old-archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.boingo.com/>
