I send attachments all the time and have never had the problem. However, I never send from iPhoto. I either select the attachment to add, drag into the message or use Insert Pictures into a message. I don't think it's a bug in Entourage or we would be hearing more about it. To find out if it's specific to Entourage, I suggest creating a new Identity and bring over nothing but your contacts. Use this clean identity to send mail with attachments. It might take a bit since it doesn't happen every time, but if you can send with this other identity then you'll know it has to be your database. To move over Contacts....File->Export as tab delimited file, Switch to new Identity, File-> Import the file.
