If it's something that MS can use, and they do so, then that will replace
the need for my scripts. Anything that uses such a method would be much
faster than anything AppleScript can do. Time will tell whether a sync
between two different applications which are structured differently (e.g.
Entourage and iCal) or have different fields (Entourage and Address Book)
will sync neatly - it will surely depend partly on the implementation. It's
always possible that it might not be as precise as what my scripts do. But
most people probably will only be concerned with syncing Entourage on
various computers and devices with each other, so that won't even matter.
We'll just have to wait and see. I expect it will be quite some time before
any of this can happen.
