While I don't like the idea of bouncing if subjects are empty or contain a
digest heading, this does inspire a question, is there any way in E-rage
2004 to thread based in message-id rather than subject?

I know many people hijack a thread and just change the subject, but I am on
some lists where they do not, but subjects do get changed at times, some
mailers use re: and some let you define it. In the case where one can
define the re: attribute, the threading gets messed up.
