Hi there, Just joined this group.
I've been using entourage in OSX for some time now and have generally found it useful (especially with the extra help from scripts by Paul Berkowitz, amongst others). My current problem is I seem to have picked up a macro virus (via spam or an attachment) when I send an email out with a word attachment it removes the attachment and places it's own text at the bottom of the message. I tried sending the word document back to myself as an attachment. No attachment in the attachments window but a text section attached to the bottom of the email with Internet Television All the X.X.X action you want. 24hours a day .F . R . E . E. And some garbled addresses from our own address book. It appears the virus removes the attachment completely replacing its own text. I have spent a long time searching the virus information pages at symantec, mcaffee, f-secure, snopes and mactopia but havent found information that seems to relate to this particular one yet. Given the apparent current activity (with probably as many as 10 emails with similar text arriving in our inbox over the last couple of days) it may be a new variant. Has anyone else found anything similar? Any help at all would be very welcome. I am delaying sending out a bulletin to a large number of recipients as I would really prefer it not to be infected with a virus.
