My settings have normally been smtp.earthlink.net and pop.earthlink.net but
during one of my several chats with Earthlink, I was told to change it to
smtpauth.earthlink.net. I did and it made no difference, so I changed it
back. So today after getting your messages and during another time out (I've
had THREE today -- very rare -- usually it's only one that I've been aware
of), I changed it to smtpauth.earthlink.net, but it made no difference.

I'm giving serious thought to changing to BellSouth as my ISP, partly
because they're $10 cheaper for monthly service and also to see if my
problems will cease. Does anyone use them and if so, is the experience any
better?

Louise
