While it's a bit off-topic, I want to mention this to John -- Check some place like crucial.com. My 1GHz aluminum 17" -- first gen -- stated 1GB max, but now larger RAM chips are available -- 1GB each -- and I know others with the same Macs who are running 2GB RAM instead of 1GB.
