Gary Beluzo and I have started the Friends of Mohawk Trail State Forest
(FMTSF) annual report on Friends activities that we prepare for the
Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) at the end of
each year. In previous reports, we presented information on Rucker analysis and
used it to illustrate the importance of MTSF. We would like to bring the list
of Rucker indices up to date and include all sites in one comprehensive list.
Unforntunately, we have Rucker indexes scattered through numerous emails and
often the same site is reported in many emails (such as I have done for MTSF),
making it hard to find the latest numbers.
Gary and I would be most grateful if each Ent out there who has computed
a Rucker index would send us the latest index for the site. Gary and I will
compile a master list of all sites along with the Ents who submit the sites and
would make the master list available to Ed for posting on the web. Thanks in
advance.
