About a year or so ago I read about a new park in NC. It had to be a county park, I think. Here is what I recall reading about it:
Partly located on an abandoned quarry. Some steep hills and minor cliffs (possibly associated with the old quarry). Here's the weirdest part: A section of the park is an old NASCAR sanctioned race track complete with concrete bleachers and press boxes all going to rot and being overtaken by forest. Does anyone here have any idea where this park is located and what its name is. Thanks!
