UNIFEM Calls for Project Proposal Applications

The UNIFEM Trust Fund in Support of Actions to Eliminate Violence Against
Women is now accepting applications for the Sixth Cycle of funding.
Deadline of project proposals is 31 March 2001. Funds will be available for
projects to be implemented in 2002.
The projects can focus on using one or more of the following strategies:
* awareness raising and advocacy
* capacity building for organisations
* legal literacy projects
* gender-sensitivity training
* violence prevention initiatives
* action-related research
UNIFEM seeks project initiatives that use a human rights-based approach,
apply gender analysis, and involve both women and men.
Project proposals should meet all of the general Trust Fund guidelines as
set out in the Trust Fund application procedures and be written in English.
Proposals should be sent to the UNIFEM Regional Programme Director, UNIFEM
Bangkok, by E-mail, fax or mail.
