I use the D30 for photojournalism. The camera is great, especially compared
to the DCS-3 I was using before. The two biggest complaints I have with the
camera are:
Firing rate: Faster would be better but compared to what I was using it's
about the same or perhaps a bit better.
Auto Focus: It has its moments but I'm learning to adjust. After all, it
wasn't THAT long ago for some of us that we were manually focusing anyway.
One of the nicest features is the FEL (Flash Exposure Lock). It comes in
real handy though I wish the camera had a dedicated FEL button like the EOS
3.
The ability to do wireless E-TTL with the newer speedlights is great. I'm
waiting for delivery of my ST-E2 Speedlight Transmitter.
