Some have reported that Canon now uses a more robust component(s) to make
the repair.
Horizon Electronics has received a ton of endorsement on this user group for
their repair on the A2/A2E models, they can also load new firmware into the
camera to make it an EOS-5 with better exposure compensation indicator in
the view finder and automatic pop up for the built-in flash when it's
required, they will also put a new EOS-5 top cover on the camera.
