Hello,
Just want to express my thoughts on my next lens adventure. Right now
I have a 15/2.8, 24/2.8, & 50/1.8 mk1, on my eos5 and sometimes on my
efm:) . What I need is a bit of length. I was 100% ready to get the
100/2 but then I started to think why not get the 70-200/4??? for about
$200 USD more I can have my first "L" lens!! But the back draws to this
is the f4 vs. f2. Having never use an "L" lens I don't know what to
expect compared to the 100/2 or my other lenses. Is the loss of 2 stops
off-set by any other gains for the nice glass or I will I not see any
difference, and just stay with the 100mm. I shoot mostly print B&W film
and frequently enlarge to 11*14. Plus the 100 is lighter, & smaller
filters (that I already have). I don't really need to go to 200mm but
if I have it you never know.
So now my thinking has got in my way (once again). I would like to
know what you pro & seasoned veterans think. Am I missing something
here that is beyond my knowledge???
-Thanks
Dan
