To summarize:
- you shoot weddings... with flash or not? If with flash, then the next
point is even more important
- good flash performance - Sigma Super 500?... do you use E-TTL?
- good AF performance
- spot metering
EOS 3 will give easily the best AF performance (specially with the 2.8
lens). If the Sigma flash is capable of E-TTL flash exposure (your Elan II
is), then I'd recommend EOS 3 even more. This is plainly because I consider
E-TTL to be much better flash exposure system than just the plain TTL. The
large minus for EOS-5 is that is is not E-TTL capable. Only other camera
that would have spot metering and E-TTL is EOS-1V - and that's even more
expensive.
