Hello all,

I have an EOS A2 and am very happy with it. But the one thing I just can't
seem to get the hang of even after a couple years of trying is
compensating, or trying to, for the less than 100% viewfinder image. I
never seem to either get in close enough or I over compensate and cut
something out.

Recently I had to take some technical photographs for work which I needed
to fill the frame as much as I could with the subject and part of a scale
to produce different sizes later. I filled the frame OVER what I saw in
the viewfinder to where I thought I would be where I needed to be with the
developed image ( used a EF 50mm f/1.4 & a 36mm Kenko extension tube if
your wondering). Once the film was developed I saw that I could have
filled the frame more. While the photos were still adequate for what I
needed I got thinking about the viewfinder problem again.

So with that in mind, I still have the original viewfinder in the
camera. My question is: Would one of the other viewfinders, Grid or Cross
hair, available for the camera compensate to any degree for this or would I
just be adding a new finder that would help me compose the subject better?

Thanks in advance for the help
Tom
